5 reasons why dad is the greatest son of all

There are BIG children and there are LITTLE children. But kids never stop being kids, right? Even when boys become dads, something temporarily dormant is released and dad is free again to be a boy himself. Here are 5 irrefutable comparisons between dad and his children that leave no doubt that dad is the biggest boy of all:

o Big boys and little boys spend most of their daily energy on two main goals: 1. getting along with girls and 2. spending as much time as possible on sports.

o During the day, Dad may work as an engineer, doctor, or rocket scientist, but still reflect the same horrified “What am I supposed to do with that?” watch as his 4 year old son when he is faced with a load of laundry that he needs to do laundry.

o Parents’ toys are bigger and more expensive… but they’re still toys. When presented with a shiny new ‘toy’, the faces of dads and kids will beam with wide eyes of anticipation and delight. Whether it’s a new toy car for your 3-year-old or a shiny new car for dad, you can expect a test drive, tinkering, and whoops of joy.

o Big kids and little kids play rough: wrestling, horseplay, punching, teasing, rolling, and general rowdiness and mayhem. When someone inevitably gets hurt, they both come running to report the seriousness of their injury and receive some love.

o The fascination with the remote control starts very early and never goes away. Trying to take the remote away from your 5-year-old or dad will lead to pouting, tantrums, and withholding a goodnight kiss.

Daddy may just be a big boy, but we love him for that and everything else that makes him a daddy. Happy Father’s Day!
