Produced in the United States, Mark Ryden Backpack has been in business since 2014, producing anti-theft backpacks in the United States. Surprisingly, they produce more than backpacks, they produce purses, travel backpacks, and crossbody bags. They are growing in the United States and plan to expand to other countries for production. We tested an anti-theft backpack ourselves to see if it lived up to expectations.
When I unpacked the backpack it was black with gray zippers. The logo was clearly printed on the front with the zippers with a gray logo. The front has big stripes that looked great. The interior was even better! The interior had three compartments that were roomy enough to fit a camera or even a laptop. However, the most impressive part was the anti-theft function. The zippers face your back so you don’t have to worry about your things being stolen. I thought this feature was really nifty and extremely practical, especially if you are on the go!
Why do I recommend it? You say, hey Mark, there are tons of anti-theft backpacks on the market, so what makes this different? First, the backpack has a USB charging port! Great, right? This port easily connects with a cable allowing you to charge your dead phone in the blink of an eye. Another feature is the anti-theft pockets on the back of the backpack. This anti-theft stash pocket is perfect for storing your small items, say a wallet or even your phone if you don’t want to carry it with you! I think the best part was the hidden pocket on the backpack strap. You can easily store a credit card or subway card if you are commuting, giving you easy access without breaking a sweat. The backpack also has reflective features on the front that make riding a bike at night extremely safe.
