So you’re the president of your sorority party. Are you trying to find the most epic ideas for the next mixer? The fraternity may call them “swaps,” or they may just be hosting events during the homecoming. I call them the most excellent experiences in college, and every fraternity should make an effort to have as many mixers as possible.

Here are three frat and sorority mixer tips that should definitely help make your next fraternity and sorority mixer a huge success:

Around the World Mixer – You know those restaurants or beer packs sold at food markets where you can taste beer cans from all over the world? Indeed, it is also possible to have such a party.

Includes drinks and favors that you will discover around the world. French wine, Kentucky whiskey, American beer (the best in the world), etc. And it doesn’t have to be just alcoholic soda: Canada Dry, anyone?

Give your attendees a passport after they introduce themselves. Have stamps in each country you visit and fill out your passport. Your favorites can be fun too. It’s about tasting the fun. Definitely don’t label this mixer “Study Abroad”; which sends the wrong message. For added folly, have your guests dress up in multi-nation attire.

Graffiti Mixer – And so it is the conclusion of the year, and you must have a great event. You should take this moment to celebrate the wonderful time your fraternity had last year. Remember when we used to write in each other’s yearbook in high school? Well, now you’re in a frat, and the next best thing is a plain shirt and lots of markers. For a little extra excitement, use some black lights and glow-in-the-dark products like highlighters.

Opposites Attract Mixer: Sororities seem to enjoy this particular mixer idea, and your visitors will come in groups. Have friends or dates team up with each other and make the craziest opposites you’ve ever heard of. We’re not really talking about salt and pepper. What about Michael Vick and the dog whisperer? Or even summer and winter. The point is not to make sense… it’s to have absurd outfits. And remember that the more absurd real costumes you have usually means an awesome time.

As always, be sure to follow your fraternity’s risk management procedures during your fraternity mix. Don’t forget to continuously give your best during the blender. You must ensure that your fraternity has the opportunity to mingle with the sorority in the future.
