Have you considered your FITNESS to lead?

Every year thousands of people are elected, selected and/or promoted to some leadership position, but few of them seem to make a significant difference, for the better! After more than four decades of involvement in nearly every aspect of leadership, I have come to firmly believe that obstacles and challenges are related to your real, PHYSICAL APTITUDE, to Lead The current dearth of meaningful leadership appears to be directly related to the lack of well-designed, thoughtful, and customized leadership training programs for a specific organization to maximize its potential, to be led, by individuals, fit, to lead! With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is important to seriously consider it.

1. acts; faith; glitch; future; fruition: What are the realities and/or facts regarding the needs, goals, priorities, strengths, and weaknesses of the particular organization? Should voters have faith, in a specific person and his abilities, to proactively address the flaws/weaknesses and create the best path forward and carry it out?

2. Integrity; ideas; ideology; imagination; issues: Unless an individual maintains absolute integrity and considers ideas that align with the group’s ideology, and in doing so, with the imagination, to think outside the box, how can the organization be prepared to address the most pressing issues? , exits, etc?

3. Prompt; time tested: Great leaders consistently proceed with well-considered and timely actions, based on knowledge and judgment, based on relevant, time-tested expertise and experience!

Four. Requirements: Able leaders consistently address the needs, concerns, and priorities of their organization and stakeholders, putting others first above any personal/political agenda and/or self-interest!

5. effects; effective; empathy; emphasis; energy/ energize: To consider someone’s fitness to lead, focus on effects and impacts, and whether someone’s leadership is truly effective. The future leader must proceed, with the highest degree of genuine empathy, aligning his actions and emphasis with whether he will energize the group and its constituents! Does that person constantly bring added energy, in a positive way?

6. Solutions; sustainable; stronger: Fully vetted and sustainable solutions, based on insightful planning, are needed to make an organization stronger etc.!

7. System; Service; strengths; strengthen: How one uses their personal strengths and provides the necessary service and representation, in the best interest of the group, often depends on the quality and relevance of their system and approach/plans. One is only fit to lead when their leadership strengthens the organization in a significant way!

Do you have what it takes? PHYSICAL APTITUDE, to lead? Are you up to the requirements and tasks?
