Financial freedom is important in humanity; With so many problems to face in life, having financial security is very important to overcome many of the challenges we face. There are some factors that we get wrong and cost us the freedom that we should easily get.
The mentality
The poor man’s mentality may be your biggest disappointment. It’s when you feel inferior that you don’t think beyond your current situation, you stop living for the next minute, hour and day. They fail to learn more about money matters as they struggle to meet the basic necessities of life. One person commented that we already have a preconceived notion that money is hard to come by, which is why we call the money of powerful nations “hard” currency.
The sowing mentality
Our Lord has great plans for us; He wants us to prosper and not be destroyed, Jeremiah 29:11. His word teaches us to have a sowing mentality, not just a fruit-eating mentality. We must learn to sow a seed that will grow to produce more for us to reap. With the wrong mindset, we don’t believe that giving a little while expecting a lot works. If his plan is to prosper us, then it can be done when he says give. He even says give and it will be given to you, good measure, pressed down and running over.
work attitude
Man will till the land and from the land he will reap. We have an input that we have to put in to achieve the desired results. If we simply put seeds in the ground and wait until harvest time, we will be surprised to find that what has flourished might not be what we planted. The seeds we sow need to be nurtured in order for them to grow and bear fruit. When you’re in business, you put your money where you can track what you’ll be sweating. When you make an investment, you constantly follow the progress of that investment, when you receive advice from the experts you follow through those advice. Money takes care of those who take care of it.
The beginning of the thing
The Richest Man in Babylon, as described in the book of the same title, explains an interesting concept of tithing. The Bible speaks of things to your church, which is an act of sowing too. The richest man in Babylon spoke of double tithing, meaning tithes to God and tithes to yourself. After that, he pays rent, bills, debts, and other expenses. A common mistake we make is thinking that after paying bills and debts, the money to buy clothes and go out is the money we pay ourselves. That is part of the expenses; the money we pay ourselves is the money that will make us more money. Tithing is sowing, we give to God who can give us more than little, and also in the same vain we pay ourselves so that we can get more out of little.
