The blockchain game studio and NFT marketplace, Vulcan Forged, has a variety of partners to help it grow its ecosystem. Among them is the global alternative investment firm SkyBridge Capital, which recently led an $8 million funding round for the company. The funds will be used to accelerate the development of its patented metaverse-as-a-service engine, MetaScapes, and enable Vulcan Forged to scale operations in North America and key markets.

Vulcan Forged has also made partnerships with other blockchain game studios and dApp incubators to expand its reach in the marketplace. For example, the game studio recently launched Berserk, a fantasy NFT collectible card game that uses Vulcanites from its flagship decentralized MMORPG, VulcanVerse.

It is also working with Coorest on a partnership to allow players to use Bryan Legend NFTrees in its game. This initiative helps bring together gaming with sustainability by allowing players to purchase NFTrees that are backed by real trees on farmlands.
PYR is a utility token that can be used to buy NFTs and other virtual assets in the Vulcan Forged in-game marketplace and within its games. The company’s flagship game, VulcanVerse, is an open-world massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that takes the metaverse to a new level by giving users actual ownership of their game world.
There are thousands of plots of land in VulcanVerse, each with a unique NFT ID that provides in-game access to its inhabitants and resources. These plots can be bought, upgraded and traded with other people in the metaverse.
Unlike other game-based tokens, PYR is not tied to specific games or developers and is a universal currency across the entire ecosystem. It can be used to pay for game launchpads, play-to-earn benefits and other services offered by the Vulcan Forged ecosystem.
