Critical Chinking: Does the Education System Make People Narcissists?

In the past, there were only a small percentage of people who went to college and only a few subjects were taught. Today it is often a case of who has not been and numerous subjects are now taught at these institutions.

One way to look at this would be to say that it is a good thing since more people now have the opportunity to participate in higher education. What has also influenced this are the loans available.

The ideal preparation

So when someone can spend a few years in college, it will give them the tools they need to succeed in life. While they are there, they are likely to find that they have all kinds of resources at their fingertips.

There will be speakers who will know all kinds of things, an infinite number of books, and will have the opportunity to form connections with people that could last a lifetime. In addition to this, they will be able to learn something that will allow them to earn a living once their time is up.

A different result

At the same time, this might not be the case if they end up with a title that is not very marketable. Now this may have been something that you found interesting, but it may not be of interest to many people.

If one did not think well of this at first, they could end up experiencing a great deal of anger and frustration. They can even go into victim mode and end up blaming other people for a choice they made.

A gray area

So going to college is not a guarantee that someone will be able to fill a job once they leave. If they chose to enroll in a degree that interested employers or could be used to start a business, it would be different.

So one would have two things in mind when signing up; do something that they like and do something that allows them to earn a living. They may have liked studying something else better, but it wouldn’t have helped them in the long run.

Smooth transition

If they did something that allowed them to earn a living, their time in college could soon be followed by full-time employment. It may take a while for them to readjust to the “real world”, but it should happen soon enough.

It will probably take a little longer if someone studies something that is not very commercial. Still, they could always travel a bit in the meantime or consider taking a short course on something else.

A challenging time

On the other hand, regardless of what someone studied while in higher education and what they end up doing now that that stage of their life has come to an end, it could be incredibly difficult for them to adjust. What this could basically show is that they were comfortable there and were rarely challenged.

For example, perhaps it was a university where people practically had to walk on eggshells so as not to offend others. So it would have been normal for one to only be exposed to things that do not offend him.

The center of the universe

Spending several years in an environment like this, along with what took place before they got there, would have meant they were protected from reality. Indirectly, they would have been conditioned to believe that they could define what they are exposed to.

So it’s not that they are just another human being on the planet and have to put up with things they don’t like; no, they are so important that they can decide what someone else can or cannot say or do. This will then have been a time when their ego got stronger, and they developed a false sense of importance in the process.

A new purpose

Ergo, instead of being prepared for the real world during your time in higher education, the opposite will have happened. Then it might be more accurate to describe it as inferior education, since it would have regressed, not progressed.

This should have been a place where they were exposed to different points of view, in order to grow and develop. After all, a big part of education is teaching people how to think, not what to think.

Two extremes

When they were studying then it would have been as if they were in one world and now that they are gone it will be as if they were in another. One world would have treated them as if they were the center of the universe, the other would treat them as if they were just another human being.

Then it won’t be a surprise for them to fight in the real world; a world where your feelings will generally not be seen as important. Along with this, they will also have trouble if they want other people to use a special pronoun.

Conclution

The education system is supposed to expand people’s minds and prepare them for the real world, not to treat them like little children. However, as people’s feelings are often considered more important than the truth, it shows just how far so many of these institutions have fallen.

If someone can’t handle their emotions and is unwilling to be exposed to different points of view, the last place they should be is in college. In many ways this is the equivalent of putting ice in an oven, it just doesn’t belong there.

One also has to wonder if there is a hidden agenda here, with the establishment wanting to bring as many people as possible to these places to make a fool of society. But, as is being done in so-called higher education, this ends up going unnoticed.

The result is that many people end up being completely indoctrinated by the system, only to see themselves as informed or “awakened.” So these people will not only ignore the fact that their mind has been hijacked, but they will also be knee deep in debt – the perfect slaves.
