If you are an internet marketer or business owner, you have probably heard many gurus tell you that you need to have the right mindset before doing anything. How to believe that you can and not be distracted by negative things. While that is true, I like to point out something else that is even more critical and profound that is giving people value and why it is the key to their success online and even offline in critical and fundamental ways.

Here’s the truth that you may not like to read and listen. But it’s what you need to know for continued, long-term success. And it is that people do not buy from each other. They buy from those they trusted based on what they need and want.

So that you better understand what I mean, let me ask you a question.

When you are at the lowest point in your life, whether you are angry, depressed, disappointed, or upset, who is the only person who helped you get up and get on with life?

Most importantly, why do you trust that person?

Now that my next question is going to be even more difficult.

I mean, can you help others in exactly the same way that that person helped you? Without expecting instant rewards of any kind?

The point I’m trying to make from everyone I mentioned above is that sales and marketing is not just about selling things to people. It’s about connecting with people and understanding what they need or want before recommending your products and services as solutions to their problems or fulfillment of their wishes.

I see that many entrepreneurs and would-be professionals are drawn to the idea of ​​getting the maximum commissions from prospects without realizing that in order to do so, they will first have to offer them maximum value.

I’m not just referring to online or internet marketers, but offline marketers as well. Insurance agents, investment brokers, real estate consultants and telemarketing executives. If you’ve been getting flyers or calls or even been repeatedly approached even though you politely declined, you know what I mean.

I come from the Southeast Asian country Singapore. I don’t know about you or if you have family and friends living there. But my administration put a very strong emphasis on values ​​like being compassionate and helping others first rather than getting from them and expecting our people to do the same. Since my country is small, it is very easy to control the population en masse with the rules and regulations in this regard.

If someone violates them, not only by committing crimes but by acting in the best interests of the people involved in their marketing activities, such as being honest and keeping what they promised, they will be treated harshly.
